Jodie Foster and her partner of 14 years, Cydney Bernard have called it quits - well, more specificially, Jodie left the relationship for another woman - writer/producer, Cynthia Mort.  And her cheating ways may cost her $25 million clams!

Reportedly Jodie is trying to play nice so all of this stays out of the public eye (uh, it's not working?), and is doing her best to keep her ex content.

According to the National Enquirer, the 46-year-old actress could lose $25 million in alimony, which is about a quarter of her net worth.  However, half of that, was earned while she and Cydney were together - meaning that Cydney could be entitled to that $25 million without a fight.

So Foster is doing whatever she can to keep the peace and she's apparently even trying to get Cydney and her current lover, Cynthia to be friends.  *Ahem* Good luck with that!

An insider says, "She wants them to be friends.  Jodie realizes that if Cydney perceives them to be one big happy family, she'd never sue for half her assets."

So far, Cydney gets to live free at one of Jodie's homes, gets invites to bashes held at Foster's house and gets to visit with her sons, Charles, 10, and Christopher, 6,.  She's also receiving a six-figure income from Jody.

S'alright I guess but I think if I were entitled to $25 million clams, I'd be asking for it!
